Authorized classification societies and inspection bodies for Eswatini flag vessels
EMA recognizes qualified organizations to carry out statutory surveys, inspections, and certifications on behalf of the flag state. These Recognised Organizations (ROs) play a crucial role in ensuring vessel safety, security, and environmental protection standards are maintained according to international conventions and national regulations.
All IACS members are eligible and are qualified organizations to carry out statutory surveys, inspections, and certifications on behalf of the flag state upon a formal agreement. Other Non-IACS may apply for case by case approval or permanent approval based on their expertise and establishment.
Organizations seeking recognition must demonstrate technical competence, financial stability, and compliance with international standards. The following documents are required:

Technical Responsibilities
